First Day
Read the Lesson 17 Notes
Second Day
Read Romans 10:14-15
Romans 10:14-15
[14] How are they to call on one they have not believed in? And how are they to believe in one they have not heard of? And how are they to hear without someone preaching to them? [15] And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How timely is the arrival of those who proclaim the good news.” (NET)
Third Day
Reread Romans 10:14-15
Romans 10:14-15
[14] How are they to call on one they have not believed in? And how are they to believe in one they have not heard of? And how are they to hear without someone preaching to them? [15] And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How timely is the arrival of those who proclaim the good news.” (NET)
Fourth Day
Read Romans 10:16-17
Romans 10:16-17
[16] But not all have obeyed the good news, for Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” [17] Consequently faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the preached word of Christ. (NET)
Question 10
Romans 1:17-23
[17] For the righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel from faith to faith, just as it is written, “The righteous by faith will live.”
[18] For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of people who suppress the truth by their unrighteousness, [19] because what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. [20] For since the creation of the world his invisible attributes—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen because they are understood through what has been made. So people are without excuse. [21] For although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or give him thanks, but they became futile in their thoughts, and their senseless hearts were darkened. [22] Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools [23] and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for an image resembling mortal human beings or birds or four-footed animals or reptiles. (NET)
Romans 3:9-12
[9] What then? Are we better off? Certainly not, for we have already charged that Jews and Greeks alike are all under sin,
[10] just as it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one;
[11] there is no one who understands;there is no one who seeks God.
[12] All have turned away;together they have become worthless; there is no one who shows kindness, not even one.” (NET)
Fifth Day
Read Romans 10:18-21
Romans 10:18-21
[18] But I ask, have they not heard? Yes, they have: Their voice has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world. [19] But again I ask, didn’t Israel understand? First Moses says, “I will make you jealous by those who are not a nation; with a senseless nation I will provoke you to anger.” [20] And Isaiah is even bold enough to say, “I was found by those who did not seek me; I became well known to those who did not ask for me.” [21] But about Israel he says, “All day long I held out my hands to this disobedient and stubborn people!” (NET)
Sixth Day
Review Romans 10:14-21
